Warning: Don’t Be Seduced By StoreStacker

A new affiliate tool has just been released, and you’re bound to be bombarded by a ton of marketers telling you how great it is. Do not listen to them!

The product is called StoreStacker. It promises that you can easily and quickly setup affiliate stores using products from many sources. You can even auto publish content by scraping other’s RSS feeds. The whole thing is automatic… just set it up, walk away, and enjoy the commissions.

The trouble is this method NEVER works. Sure you might install 20 stores… or 100 stores… and find short term success, but you’ll never build up a source of long-term stable income.

Do you really think it’s as easy as buying a piece of software, installing it to a domain, picking a niche, and setting up scraped RSS content? Listen, I know how strong the desire can be to find a silver bullet that will earn you a lot of money for little effort, but that silver bullet doesn’t exist.

If you want to buy StoreStacker, then that’s fine, as long as you understand that if you want long term success, you will need to treat it like any other authority site. You will need to publish original content that provides value to your niche and your visitors, which takes time and effort.

Please… if you are reading this… do not be seduced by StoreStacker. I won’t tell you not to buy it, but I won’t be recommending it either. ;)

I Got a New Laptop (Finally)

I decided to take the plunge and purchase a new laptop for my affiliate marketing business. Actually I’ve been thinking about this for months, but I didn’t know if it was something I could afford. Yesterday while out shopping, my wife (the money miser of the family) asked if it was time to get a laptop, and had no objections to getting one right then and there. So we bought one. Read more

Content vs. No Content

Today I got into a debate on the BANS forum regarding the best strategy for deploying BANS sites. Basically, the debate centered around two schools of thought:

  1. Build as many BANS sites as possible, as quickly as possible. Don’t worry about content or quality. The more the better.
  2. Build each BANS site with a focus on quality. Add unique content. Ensure your site adds value to the visitors.

I’m getting REALLY SICK of Mass Control

…Begin Rant…

No offense to Frank or his Mass Control product, but…

I’m getting sick of all of the affiliate marketers SPAMING THE CRAP OUT OF ME on their mailing lists, trying to sell me Mass Control.

In fact, I don’t think I’m on one single IM mailing list that hasn’t pushed to get me to purchase Mass Control. Some of these people are offering… oooh are you ready for it… huge bonuses if I buy from them.

Well guess what?

I DON’T SELL MY OWN PRODUCTS! I DON’T NEED MASS CONTROL.

I’m an affiliate marketer, and most of these lists are SUPPOSED to be geared for affiliates.

This is yet ANOTHER example of the IM gurus milking IM wannabes for cash, and I’m THIS close to unsubscribing from a few of these lists…

Look, when I sign up to a “guru’s” mailing list, I expect them to try and sell me stuff. That’s what they do. I’m willing to put up with it because in-between the sales pitches, they often gives some free valuable tips, insight, or advice. Besides, a lot of the stuff they “pitch” isn’t half bad, and worth checking out.

I don’t need 66 messages (yes, that’s SIXTY SIX messages) pushing Mass Control down my throat… PULEAZE…

Now that the launch is over and closed, can we get things back to normal… PLEASE!?!?!?

…End Rant…
