Wealthy Affiliate Accredited Courses

Wealthy Affiliate is an internet marketing membership site that contains a wealth of information, training, coaching/mentoring, and peer-to-peer support and assistance. It’s where I got my feet wet in affiliate marketing, and being completely honest, I didn’t make a penny online until I joined.
It’s also the place where I first learned about the Build a Niche Store software (which is still my largest source of income).
Just to be clear, Wealthy Affiliate is a membership site that costs $29 per month. However I’ve been a member there for over one year (you can look me up on the forums, I’m “skolvikings”), and as long as I still have my affiliate marketing business, I plan to continue my membership. So obviously, since I’m spending my own money on a membership, I feel it’s a good deal.
So why am I telling you about Wealthy Affiliate?
Accredited Training Courses
I wanted to mention Wealthy Affiliate to you because they’ve just released two additional training courses:
These courses cost $67 each, and are only available to Wealthy Affiliate members. (That price is valid for only the first week after the launch, after which it will be increasing.)
I’m not going to get into the details for each of these courses, because I don’t want you to think I’m hyping them and just trying to make a sale.
As you’d expect, they do come with a ton of great bonuses, etc, but I’ll let you check out those details for yourself by clicking one of the links.
Is This For You?
If you’re already very successful online, then you probably don’t need additional training, and you can save your money. But if you’re still in the beginning stages of your online business, you might want to check out Wealthy Affiliate and their new accreditation courses. (And if you use my links in this post, you’ll be helping me out, so THANKS!)
Again, I’m a satisfied member of Wealthy Affiliate, so if you have any questions about it, please feel free to contact me and I’ll do my best to answer them.

What’s Worse Than Being Fired By eBay?

I realize that if you were just fired by the ePN, you’re probably in a foul mood… angry at eBay… and wondering what to do next. But imagine how you’d feel if you just lost your house to a flood, because that’s exactly the situation Rochelle is facing this weekend!
If you don’t know Rochelle, she is one of the nicest and most helpful contributors there is on the Build a Niche Store member forum.
I’ve worked with Rochelle in the past on some instructional blog posts, and I can tell you she’s a great person!
I encourage you to visit her Niche Store Strategies blog and offer any words of encouragement that you can.
Hang in there Rochelle!

Fellow BANS Member’s Take on the ePN Firings

Yesterday I blogged about how eBay has recently fired many affiliates. Well if you use the Build a Niche Store software and participate in their member forum, you’ve no doubt seen the many posts from members who are angry and trying to figure out what to do next.
Soggy from the BANS forum has recently written a very informative post on his blog titled “Build A Niche Store Has Your Best Interest In Mind.” In the post, Soggy answers the question “what to do now?” with some practical steps.
Some of the steps Soggy listed are:
“I would take a good hard look at your stores and see which ones are viable in adding additional affiliate programs. Take an inventory of all sites and look to find matching product lines offered by other affiliate programs.”
“Stay active on the BANS forums as the dynamic shift is beginning and you do not want to miss a thing.”
I encourage you to read the full post for yourself.

Content vs. No Content

Today I got into a debate on the BANS forum regarding the best strategy for deploying BANS sites. Basically, the debate centered around two schools of thought:
- Build as many BANS sites as possible, as quickly as possible. Don’t worry about content or quality. The more the better.
- Build each BANS site with a focus on quality. Add unique content. Ensure your site adds value to the visitors.

Converting BANS Sites to the eBay Partner Network
April 19, 2008 by Jon
Filed under Build a Niche Store
I hate to admit this, but I still haven’t finished converting all of my BANS sites over to the eBay Partner Network (EPN). I meant to have all of them converted well before now, but with the death of my father and the entire family coming down with strep throat, things haven’t worked out as planned. Sadly I’ve only converted about 20% of my sites so far.
To make matters even more interesting, my top non-eBay merchant that I promote also decided to change their program provider this month, except they gave absolutely NO WARNING, so I had to quickly move to change all of my links for that campaign.
Oh well, such is life. With my father’s unexpected passing, I’m not going to let any of this ruffle my feathers too much.
So in the spirit of marching onward, the very first BANS site I ever created (that’s still running BANS 2.0 with Commission Junction) is going to get the double-whammy tonight!
I’m going to apply the BANS 2.0 -> 3.0 EPN update all in one shot.
Wish me luck!
(Update: all of my sites have now been successfully converted to the ePN.)

Here are some helpful tips and tricks you can employ on your sites that use the Build a Niche Store 3.0 software:
Add a Privacy Policy
Not only does Google give your site more PageRank if your site has a privacy policy, but it’s actually required under both the Google AdSense and Commission Junction terms of service. So if you use either on your sites, you have to have a privacy policy.

If you have an account with USFreeAds, or have been considering getting one, you’ll want to check out Rochelle’s instructions for writing ads for USFreeAds. They’re slightly focused on BANS and the eBay affiliate program, but you can easily adapt the instructions for any type of ad.

Mark from the Build a Niche Store Empire series recently posted about getting inbound links to your site, otherwise known as backlinks. In the post, Mark lists some excellent, high quality ways to get inbound links (which the search engines love). Here are a few more ideas that I’d like to add to the list:
